Community guidelines
This is a community for people who love Caribana and the culture around it. These few rules keep it warm and safe.
1. Be kind and be real
Treat everyone with respect. Disagree with ideas, not people. Use your real name or a name people can recognise.
2. Keep it safe
No harassment, threats, hate, or sexual content. Nothing that targets or puts anyone, especially young people, at risk.
3. Share what is yours
Post your own photos and stories, or ones you have permission to share. Credit others.
4. Protect privacy
Do not share other people's private details, and do not post photos of people who have asked not to be shared.
5. No spam or selling
No advertising, scams or chain posts. If you run an event or business that serves the community, ask us first.
6. Our culture, our words
Patois and Creole are welcome here. We judge posts by their meaning and intent, not by dialect.
7. Report what worries you
Use Report on any post, comment, story, event or message. People on our team read every report, and we may remove content or pause an account. If you see something that puts a child at risk, report it at once and do not share it.
8. Illegal content is never allowed
Anything that sexually exploits a child, threatens violence, or is otherwise illegal is removed immediately, the member is banned, and where the law requires it we report it to the authorities.
Members must be 16 or older. Private messages are private, but messages that are reported can be read by our team. See the privacy policy and terms.
